- Anyone who was on this course shudders when they think of these British Army Pack Frames that we used. They had no padding on the one-inch canvas shoulder straps. We all had deep welts in our shoulders. All supplies were carried in the pink duffle bags, which were in turn strapped to the frames. All equipment was provided as part of the tuition - $150 for the month, including food and the use of much of our clothing.
