- From the left : Clint, Jerry, David, Jeff, Frank. Frank was being very generous and acting as our smoke magnet. The two large tin cans on the rock were our cooking pots. Dehydrated dinners were rare (and awful) in 1966, so we carried raw ingredients like corn meal, flour, cheese. I made some of the 'recipes' later when I got home, but they never tasted as good as up in the mountains after a day's hike.
